Ham Pool (lake 18)

Ham Pool

A very picturesque lake, fringed with Lily pads through the spring and summer months, Ham Pool holds a good stock of various species of fish, including Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Crucian's, Perch, Pike and Bream, many of them good specimens. There are carp to nearly 40Ibs, Bream and Tench into double figures, Pike into 30Ib bracket, and a number of good Roach, Perch and Crucian Carp. The lake is approximatley 8 acres in size, and averages around 12ft deep, and a few marginal shelves can be found. Many of the swims are accessible by car. On site there are toilets and shower facilities that have disabled access. And it is also home to our licensed clubhouse and bar. "The FIsherman's Rest". Day Tickets are not available for this venue, an dnight fishing is permitted with a membership. (More images of Ham Pool can be viewed here )

Wickwater Main Lake (lake 23a)

Wick Main Lake

The Main Lake at Wickwater, is a fairly shallow lake, of a bout 20 acrs in size, offering some excellent fishng. With Carp to nearly 40Ibs and Tench into double figures, there are also some excellent Pike, Perch, Roach and Rudd to be had. There are many features scattered around, including small islands, and gravel spots and bars. A few of the swims are accessible by vehicle but there is ample car parking behind locked gates at the top and bottom of the complex. Night fishing permitted. Gillman's Lake (lake 23b)

Gillman's Lake

Situated at our Wickwater complex, Gillman's is a small mature, heavily stocked lake, holding various species of fish, including Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, and Bream. About 1 acre and a half. this popular lake is between 4-5ft deep and has a long island down it's center. Day tickets are available ion Gillman's Lake, but night fishing is not permitted. It is an ideal venue for youngsters or those new to angling, but also caters for the more experienced angler. There are two purpose built disabled swims next to the car park, and there are toilet facilites on site with disabled access.(More images of Gillman's Lake can be viewed here )

Stait Lake (lake 23b)

Stait Lake

Also situated at our Wickwater complex, Stait Lake is a very heavily stocked lake with mainly Carp to 10Ibs, Bream, Roach and Perch. It is a commerial tyoe fishery,with the best match weight to date being a monstrous 255Ibs. Around two acres in size, with two islands down the middle, this lake produces the goods throughout the year. Method feeder and pole fishing are popular and successful methods on this lake. Day tickets are available on this venue,but night fishing is not permitted. On site there are toilet facilities with disabled access. (More images of Stait Lake can be viewed here )

Whitefriars (lake 26)

Whitefriars

Once known as the Bream Pit and has produced some huge specimens.This is our biggest pit, which is over 90 acres in size. It holds a good stocking of Carp to upper 30's, with Bream, Tench, Pike, Roach and Perch, all to specimen size. Most of the swims are accessible by car, but care should be taken on the grassy areas in wet conditions. Night fishing is permitted, but there are nio day tickets acvailable for this venue. Access to Whitefriars is from: South Cerney-Take Spine Road B4696 to Ashton Keynes Junction, turn right then right again down Whitefriars Lane. To gain access to the lake you will need the gate code printed in your membership book. (More images of Whitefriars can be viewed here )

Dab Chick Lake (lake 63)

Dab Chick Lake

Dab chick Lake is a mature gravel pit of about eight acres in size and is stocked with a good head of Carp, Tench, Roach, Perch, Pike, and Bream. An all round fishery, in a tranquil setting, that has produced some good tench and roach fishing, with carp up 30Ibs having been caught. Day tickets are not available for this venue, although night fishing is permitted for our members. The Duxford Farm stretch of The RiverThames can be found near the Oxfordshire village of Hinton Waldrist. The river holds some good chub and barbel fishing, and may suit the roving angler.
