Everyone is now back fishing again and having a fantastic time. Stait lake has been producing lots of carp, Franklin’s has produced some nice fish and there has been some beautiful Tench from Gillmans and Ham Pool
The only issue is that there there were loads of spectators at Stait on Saturday which is adding unnecessary risk to all anglers in these troubled times. There were whole families on the bank with just one person fishing, and some anglers had a couple of “friends” visit and sit behind them watching them fish. Also there were lots of non-anglers just walking all the way around the lake, chatting every now and then.
The rule is that a spectator or junior angler from the same household is allowed but must stay in the same swim to reduce the risk to others.
The last thing we need is bad publicity and photos taken of social gatherings around our lakes which may result in us being closed down!
