The results of the virology tests from the samples sent to CEFAS have confirmed that the carp in Stait Lake have Koi Herpes Virus.
The lake will now be monitered by the Environment Agency and tested at set intervals.
Once the algae bloom has cleared and the fish have had a suitable recovery time Stait Lake will reopen with net dips compulsary.
