Otters at Dabchick (Lake 63) 27/02/2015

We now have evidence of Otters at Dabchick Lake.
They have been filmed by a member and a carcass has been found on the bank.
We will be dealing with this as a matter of some urgency but unfortunately Otters are very well protected and the only way forward would be to fence off the lake.
Logistically this is going to be very hard to achieve as one corner of the lake belongs to Lower Mill and the Netherwood bank is also quite narrow with the problem of  a tall hedgerow as a border to the bridleway behind.
We will have to find a  solution to this and then there will also be the problem of our other waters as the otters spread through the park.
